The MetaMind

After half a lifetime in corporate employment, I am now in the fortunate situation (post-redundancy) of possessing the means to take a substantial hiatus and follow my calling. Nobody can fail to notice that humanity now stands close to some kind of major shift, qualitatively different from anything that's gone before. World wars, barely-averted nuclear Armageddon, the rise and fall of evil dictators - these were well-defined threats, tangible. Whilst these threats remain present, there co-exists a deeper malaise, a collective sickness of the soul, even a sickness of the planet. And balancing this, like the counterpart of a classic apocalyptic fiction scenario, is a growing awareness of the problem coupled with a quiet determination to fix it. This is my contribution to the unfolding of that story.
